Central Ohio Catfish Club Website 

About the tournament:

We are a tournament series which holds catfish tournaments starting in April through September.  Tournament's are held on Saturdays.  The tournament is open to everyone.  At the end of the year we will hold an invitational tournament for all teams that qualify during the regular season.  

 

New Changes for 2009!

 

There are a few changes that are going to be made.  Please see the list below.  Due to Mike's hectic schedule, we are simplifying things this year, so we can keep this fun for everyone, including Mike.  Just kidding!

 

The changes are....

 

1. We will be splitting the tournaments at Hoover and Oshaugnessy. 

2. Starting a regular season points division, which determines qualifiers for championship. See the rules for an explanation.

3. Due to open comments on the surveys I received back, BOAT FISHING ONLY.  NO BANK FISHING.

4.  Changing pay structure to 55%, 30%, 15% to better accomodate 2nd and 3rd place getting there entry fees back and keeping it interesting for those places.

Want to Volunteer?

 

Willing to pitch in?  We are looking for volunteers to help with registration, weigh in, pictures, checking live wells, anything really. Drop us a line and let us know.

   

 

 

 

 

 

First O'Shay Tournament of 2009 is in the Bag!

 

 

The heavy winds at the start of the tournament weren't enough to keep ten dedicated teams from fishing the first O'Saughnessy tournament of the year.  There was also a first for the night.  All teams weighed in fish.  In three years of running the tournaments, this is the first time all teams have had fish to weigh.  Nice job everyone!

 

For the 2nd tournament in a row, Mike Hall and Jeff Blakley took first place with 8 fish weighing 34.7 lbs. They were also able to bring home the big fish pot for the night with a 7.6 lbs channel.  A nice fish for O'shay! 

 

2nd Place went to Tim Wurschum and Adam Keiffer. This was the first time they weighed fish at Oshay and took 2nd place to boot.  Great job Tim and Adam.   

 

Dave Rounds and Rickblackmore got back into the money with a total weight of 22.3 lbs.  A very respectable weight for 6 fish.  Congrats.

 

We also had 2 newcomers to the COCC tournaments.  Thanks to Jared Flory and Scott Hoberty for stopping out to join us.  Hope you enjoyed your first tournament experience.  Come back and see us soon.  Congrats to all of the entrants and thanks for coming out.
